Countybank Main Street Jazzz...Encore Announced!

Greenville, SC: Main Street Events, Inc. a Greenville-based festival and event Production Company has announced that “COUNTYBANK MAIN STREET JAZZ…ENCORE” will feature two of the most performers from this season’s popular weekly event. On Saturday, November 18th, 2006 (4pm – 9:30pm) Kat Williams will open for Mac Arnold and the Plate Full ‘O Blues on stage located in front of the Hyatt Regency on Main Street in downtown Greenville.

The popular weekly event normally is scheduled for Friday evenings from April through September of each year. The current season ended on Friday, September 29, 2006 after 26 weeks of great entertainment and record crowds. This years’ weekly average attendance was up 26% and featured a wide variety of music from traditional jazz to blues, oldies, beach and big band sounds.

“We wanted to present an encore performance following a record-breaking season, and to get Kat Williams and Mac Arnold on the same stage was an opportunity we could not pass up,” commented Byron K. Rucker, MSE Executive Director. “Countybank has been a tremendous partner as the title sponsor this season, as have all of our corporate partners. The crowds have been enthusiastic and loyal, and this is a small way to say thanks for their continued support. We moved this special performance to a Saturday instead of the traditional Friday night schedule to coincide with our first ever season-ending volunteer appreciation party. The evening should be magical and we hope that music lovers will join us for this special presentation.”

Main Street Events is also hosting the first-ever volunteer appreciation party in the Hyatt Regency for those who have volunteered for any of the festivals or events that involved MSE as an event producer. The number of volunteers that have been scheduled this past year totals approx. 4,700 logging 19,000 hours of service.

Main Street Jazz is a solely-owned event of Main Street Events, Inc., having just completed its 11th season.
