TLC LASER EYE CENTERS PARTNER WITH DOWNTOWN ALIVE
New title sponsor to support MAC efforts through event marketing

Greenville, SC:  Main Street Events, Inc. a Greenville-based festival and event Production Company has announced TLC LASER EYE CENTERS as the new title sponsor for the popular DOWNTOWN ALIVE music series in Downtown Greenville, located in Piazza Bergamo just off Main Street.  The series will be held on Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm beginning on March 29th and continue through September 6th.  The full slate of entertainment and sponsors were also announced at the press conference on Thursday morning.

“The Metropolitan Arts Council is very appreciative of the commitment of TLC Laser Eye Centers to this traditional event,” stated Alan Ethridge, Executive Director of MAC.  “Downtown Alive has been a strong part of our fundraising efforts for many years, and the partnership with a new lead sponsor, as well as the continued support of so many corporate citizens gives our board the confidence that 2007 will be a record-setting year.  We also appreciate the support of the non-profit organizations who commit their time as volunteers during the season.”

“TLC LASER EYE CENTERS DOWNTOWN ALIVE” has been a mainstay on Main Street in Greenville for many years, created to provide a prelude and attraction for patrons to visit downtown businesses.  The weekly music series features a wide variety of music including Southern Rock, Blues, Funk, Blue Grass and Independent Rock from around the country.  A full list of entertainment and corporate partner links can be sampled by visiting www.mainstevents.com.  The Metropolitan Arts Council has singed a three-year extension to the management contract with Main Street Events, Inc. which will extend through the 2009 event.  MSE organizes all elements of the event, including entertainment, volunteers, marketing, finance and operations.

Several corporate partners have committed their support to the event.  Wild Wing Café has completed a three-year agreement and will hold the title for the stage sponsor, as well as the “Official After Party” location.  They will be joined in support of the event by Budweiser, Pepsi, Ben Arnold Sunbelt Beverage, The Greenville News (LINK), WBZT-FM (The Buzzard 96.7 FM), Coops Health and Fitness, Penske Truck Rentals and Verizon Wireless. Other corporate partners are in on-going discussions to join the event, and additional corporate partners are welcomed.

Main Street Events, Inc. owns and operates Countybank Main Street Jazz, AT&T Red, White and Blue, B&B Development Downtown Sounds (Anderson, SC), as well as The Greenville News Shaggin on Augusta.  MSE has management contracts with St. Francis Fall for Greenville, Artisphere International Arts Festival, TLC Laser Eye Centers Downtown Alive, USA Professional Cycling Championships, Wheels for Meals Cycling Fundraiser, and the BMW Charity Pro-AM at the Cliffs.  MSE is also engaged in consulting roles with other markets throughout the eastern part of the U.S.
