LITTLE BIG TOWN TO PERFORM AT WEST END FIELD
Main Street Events and WSSL-FM present concert to kick off July 4th Festivities

Greenville, SC:  Main Street Events, Inc. a Greenville-based festival and Event Production Company have announced plans for a country music duo performance at West End Field on July 3rd.

“Main Street Events and WSSL-100 present Little Big Town”
With an opening performance by Carolina Rain

“Bringing Little Big Town to West End Field is a tremendous gift to the upstate, and is the ultimate kick-off to a great independence day celebration,” stated Byron K. Rucker, Executive Director of Main Street Events.  “With WSSL-FM, we have the strongest power in the country music radio business, and the partnership with the Greenville Drive and West End Field make this a win-win for everyone – most importantly for country music fans.  The addition of Carolina Rain as the opener brings some local ties to the stage as well.  With AT&T Red, White and Blue scheduled for the next day, LBT and Carolina Rain will serve as great start of the festivities for Independence Day.”

The group is unique in country music in its configuration of two men with two women. It is also unlike any other in that there is no single lead vocalist – all four are capable of taking lead lines, and do so. Also unusual is the fact that for most of their performances, the larger-than-life Little Big Town voices are accompanied solely by Phillip and Jimi’s guitars. Those voices blend so effortlessly that you would think they’d been singing together since childhood. They haven’t been, but their backgrounds are strikingly similar. All four began singing in church and with their families—and Phillip even performed in a family band. All four blossomed as musicians in college. All four have wanted to sing professionally since childhood.

Little Big Town is set to perform at the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. This will be the second time they have performed on the Academy of Country Music Awards. LBT is nominated for Top Vocal Group and Top New Vocal Duo or Group.  The show will air LIVE from the MGM Grand on Tuesday, May 15th at 8:00PM on the CBS Network.

The stunning harmonies and powerful voices of this country music trio are reasons enough to propel it forward.  But when the chips are down and the going gets tough, something more is needed.  And that something is friendship.  Carolina Rain's debut album, Weather The Storm, is solid proof that togetherness pays off.  On it, these three men practically breathe in harmony.  The layered vocal mix and bopping rhythms of "Isn't She" delight the ears, as do the soaring voices and uplifting tone of "Sweet Virginia Kiss."  The stirring emotions of "All Before The Sun Goes Down" are brought to life via full-throated harmonizing.  "Dealin'" is airy and meditative, and "Someone's Child" is a social statement, while "Let's Get It On" is a rocking party.  Band member Marvin Evatt grew up in Central, SC.
