DOWNTOWN TRADITION ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR JULY 4TH CELEBRATION
Event filled with music, food and fireworks

GREENVILLE, SC:  Main Street Events, Inc. has announced plans for the 2007 AT&T Red, White and Blue Celebration, presented by Denny’s. 

“We believe that this year’s edition of Greenville’s own July 4th celebration will take on a new energy in downtown”, stated Byron K. Rucker, Main Street Events Executive Director.  “Our organization prides itself on first-rate event production, and the combination of many genres of music, food choices and family fun.  The 4th should be a showcase to entire upstate.  We are very lucky to have a partnership with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra once again, and the City of Greenville has been instrumental in making the free performance a reality.  Everyone will be energized by the entire atmosphere on the streets of Greenville for an action-packed evening on the 4th.”

AT&T Red, White and Blue Celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, July 4th from 5:00pm until 10:30pm and is located on Main Street in Downtown Greenville from Court Street to Camperdown, and will encompass Broad Street from River to Falls Streets.  Along with live music offerings on two stages, children will enjoy the BI-LO Kids Zone on East Broad Street.  The night will be capped by the largest fireworks display in the state that can be seen from anywhere in the downtown area.  Here is a list of activities for the evening:

7:30-9:30pm            Elliott & the Untouchables (www.elliottandtheunotouchables.com) on the “Toyota of Greenville Main Stage”
7:45-9:45pm            Greenville Symphony Orchestra on the Peace Center Amphitheatre

(Limited number of seats available in Amphitheatre setting – first come first serve – admittance to area at 5pm)

This year’s event will welcome some great traditional sponsors (Pepsi, Budweiser, The Greenville News, BI-LO, Ben Arnold/Sunbelt Beverage, Penske Truck Rentals, WBZT, WSSL, WMYI, and WESC) as well as some new marketing partners (Advantage Health Systems, Toyota of Greenville, and Panera Bread).
Personal coolers and/or pets are not allowed in the event site. Patrons are encouraged to bring folding chairs and/or blankets as no seating is provided.

Main Street Events, Inc. owns and operates Countybank Main Street Jazz, AT&T Red, White and Blue, B&B Development Downtown Sounds (Anderson, SC), as well as The Greenville News Shaggin on Augusta. MSE has management contracts with St. Francis Fall for Greenville, Artisphere International Arts Festival, TLC Laser Eye Centers Downtown Alive, USA Professional Cycling Championships, Wheels for Meals Cycling Fundraiser, and the BMW Charity Pro-AM at the Cliffs. MSE is also engaged in consulting roles with other markets throughout the eastern part of the U.S.
