MAIN STREET EVENTS PARTNERS WITH USA CYCLING PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Agreement for 2007 includes logistical and marketing support for Medalist Sports

GREENVILLE, SC: Main Street Events, Inc. has announced a partnership with Medalist Sports, Inc. to serve as Event Production and Management support for The 2007 Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships. The event will be held in Greenville, SC during Labor Day weekend. This is the second year of a three-year license agreement between Medalist Sports and USA Cycling, Inc. for the federation’s National Championships.

“We are very pleased to work with Medalist Sports once again for this magnificent event”, stated Byron K. Rucker, Main Street Events Executive Director. “Our organization prides itself on first-rate event production, and our working relationship with Medalist is a perfect fit for both parties. This is a very high profile event for the cycling industry, and we are proud to be part of the production for the entire weekend.”
Two national champions will be crowned again this year as the top professional road cyclists in the United States compete in both individual time trial and road race disciplines. In 2006, the event hosted 180 professional cyclists and drew a crowd of more than 62,000 spectators to the city of Greenville and Upstate, South Carolina. In 2007, the Individual Time Trial will be staged throughout the Cliffs Communities on Saturday, September 1st with the Road Race Championship being held the next day, on Sunday, September 2nd in downtown Greenville.

Medalist Sports, LLC is a full-service international sports marketing company. Medalist Sports specializes in the planning, promotion and management of sports and special events. Medalist has a three-year agreement with USA Cycling to produce the National Championships (http://www.usacyclingchampionships.com), previously held in Philadelphia, PA for 21-years prior to its move to Greenville in 2006. The Medalist Sports team has experience in all facets of the successful management and promotion of world-class sporting events in the United States, England, Australia and China. In addition, Medalist Sports manages the Amgen Tour of California, the Tour de Georgia, the Tour of Missouri, as well as the LIVESTRONG Challenge Series in coordination with the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Main Street Events will work with Medalist Sports in areas of logistical site construction (for both races as well as the Cycling Expo in downtown Greenville on September 2nd), local marketing and hospitality coordination, as well as support of local public relations efforts.

Main Street Events, Inc. owns and operates Countybank Main Street Jazz, AT&T Red, White and Blue, B&B Development Downtown Sounds (Anderson, SC), as well as The Greenville News Shaggin on Augusta. MSE has management contracts with St. Francis Fall for Greenville, Artisphere International Arts Festival, TLC Laser Eye Centers Downtown Alive, USA Professional Cycling Championships, Wheels for Meals Cycling Fundraiser, and the BMW Charity Pro-AM at the Cliffs. MSE is also engaged in consulting roles with other markets throughout the eastern part of the U.S.
