BUD STAGE (Main Street in front of Hyatt Regency Greenville)

FRIDAY, OCT. 12

7:00PM - Nathan Angelo (www.nathanangelo.com)

Nathan Angelo is a singer/songwriter that is headed to the top. Hailing from South Carolina,, where he spent time as the music director of his father’s church, he attended Lee College in Cleveland, TN, and now resides in Atlanta. Angelo is a new breed of performer that is starting to pack venues and gain airplay. With a brave and distinguished sound pieced together from influences such as Ray Charles, U2, Stevie Wonder and Coldplay, it's no surprise that you can find glorious, glittering pop anthems alongside grit and groove. He daringly marries the two.

9:00PM - Civil Twilight (www.civiltwilightband.com)

This 3-piece rock group, originally from South Africa and currently based in the US, started in 1996 on the very week that each member first picked up his respective instrument. Civil Twilight has achieved a measure of single-minded musicianship that few bands today can claim.

“One of the most exciting new bands in the past two years…appealing and fresh, packed with a raw energy and lyrical sincerity,” wrote the South African Rock Digest. “The band’s creative energy brings an air of anticipation and intrigue as to what they’ll think up next,” noted UCT Magazine. Linkin Park singer, Chester Bennington, caught Civil Twilight at The Roxy in Hollywood and believes them to be “one of the best young bands” he has seen.

SATURDAY, OCT. 13

12:00PM - Gary Pfaff and Obsession Day (www.myspace.com/obsessionday)

In an era when most bands’ records are better than their live show and when it's image over quality, Obsession Day stands a step above the rest, proving over and over again that they are the "total package". It is no surprise that the number of "obsessed" fans grows daily with the release of their self titled debut featuring 10 emotional, yet rocking tracks that have drawn comparisons to Coldplay, early U2, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and to newer bands like The Killers and The Fray.

2:00PM - Warm in the Wake (www.warminthewake.com)

Warm In The Wake describe their music as simple American songs that have been gently thrown into the space rock realm. Their Livewire Recordings debut “Gold Dust Trail,” with tracks produced by Adam Lasus (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo, Helium), is a fine mix of verses and audio flashcards, character sketches, rough-hewn acoustic ballads, and bent rhymes.

4:00PM - Georgia (www.myspace.com/georgia)

6:00PM - Sons of William (www.myspace.com/sonsofwilliam)

When it came time to name their band, south Louisiana brothers Joe and David Stark went back to their roots – literally.  Because their dad, Bill, was responsible for their earliest musical education, they chose to call themselves Sons of William. For Joe, it’s a bit of a departure; he’s used to thinking of himself as a solo entity or as a hired gun, having been offered to play guitar with Butch Walker, Marc Broussard, Will Hoge, and Rock Star INXS, amongst others.  Joe and David have been playing together in a formal sense for just over two years, even though they jammed together since they were little. Sons of William recently finished their first full-length album with Nashville producer Justin Tocket (Marc Broussard, Toby Lightman, Rex Moroux).

8:00PM - The Working Title (www.theworkingtitle.com)

Fusing the band members' individual loves for many artists from Counting Crows to the likes of Kid Dynamite and a slew of other musical genres, The Working Title formed in 2001. Within six months of forming, the band cut its first independent release, ‘Sincerely’, a self-released, self-produced collection of songs. The band signed with Universal and entered into the studio in 2003 to track the seven-song EP Everyone Here is Wrong. The EP was rated 5 out of 5 in Alternative Press Magazine and they also labeled The Working Title "A Band To Watch." In July 2006 The Working Title released their major label debut 'about-face.' The band has spent the better part of four years harvesting a fan base up and down the East Coast and across the country. They've performed on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as on bills with the likes of Mute Math, Mae, Switchfoot, Our Lady Peace, mewithoutyou and Counting Crows.

SUNDAY, OCT. 14

1:00PM - Steve Williams Band (www.stevewilliamsband.com)

Steve Williams is a singer songwriter form Larose, Louisiana who captured the attention of platinum selling artist Edwin McCain and award winning producer Noel Golden in October of 2006. After getting together with Noel and Edwin, Steve decided to go into the studio with members of his band as well as members from the Edwin McCain Band, and create the album “Sometimes”.

2:30PM - CX-1(www.cx-1.com)

"Fans of Bela Fleck should check out 'Andy Pond and the CX-1 Black Hole Bluegrass Boyz," a wild and sometimes wacky collection of Flecktone-like material by a ten-member group all based around the very impressive banjo playing of Andy Pond. CX-1 now consists of FOUR members of two deep-rooted North Carolina family bands: Acoustic Syndicate and the Snake Oil Medicine Show.

4:30PM - Sol Driven Train (www.soldriventrain.com)

Sol Driven Train is a 5-headed musical monster emerging from the swampy South Carolina Lowcountry - a blend of fiery world-beat, southern funk, and melodious rock. With their punchy horns, three-part vocal harmonies  and a slamming rhythm section, some have suggested evolutionary descent from groups such as The Allman Brothers, The Band, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Marley and the Wailers.

VERIZON WIRELESS STAGE (Coffee St. between Main and Brown Streets)

FRIDAY, OCT. 12

6:30PM - The Next Best Thing (www.thenextbestthingband.com)

The Next Best Thing is made up of three talented musicians from the Greenville, SC area. While they are young in age, they have the sophisticated sound of a band much more advanced in years and experience. The band’s influences come from a large range of sources. Each of the members has their own unique background and preferences. The band has a sound that is reminiscent of anything from “Dave Matthews Band” to “Incubus” to “The Eagles” and beyond. They surprise their audiences with the depth of their music - from the lyrics, to melodies to backgrounds.

8:30PM - [golden] (www.goldentheband.com)

Drawing from influences such as Jackson Browne, Sting, Bob Marley, David Gray, Steely Dan, and Stevie Wonder, [golden] demonstrates an ear for the past and a vision for the future. With top-notch musicianship to satisfy the most demanding of listeners, [golden] succeeds in communicating the essential truth of music -- that a great song speaks to our desire to live life to the fullest, enjoying each experience as a melody, each moment as a note in time.

SATURDAY, OCT. 13

Kevin has recently moved to Greenville, SC from Johannesburg, South Africa to continue his career in the industry as a sound technician. When he moves from behind the mixing board, Kevin brings his own sound to the stage as a talented singer/songwriter that captures the moment with his lyrics.

1:30PM - Jordan Teague (www.jordanteague.com)

Jordan Teague has been turning heads all over upstate South Carolina and beyond with her guitar-driven acoustic rock tunes. From winning the preliminary round of the AcousticSeen Songwriter's Competition to sharing the stage with national and regional acts, Jordan's accomplishments merely foreshadow the pronounced impact that her unique style is bound to have on the southeastern music scene.

3:00PM - Milhouse (www.myspace.com/milhouseband)

Endearing sounds of eclectic-ness is an understatement when summarizing the melodic, groovy, and intricate melodies of Milhouse. Consisting of an acoustic guitar, cello, electric mandolin, and congas, the quartet brings an organic and tranquil atmosphere to every live show.

5:00PM - Kellin Watson (www.kellinwatson.com)

Kellin Watson was born to speak to the world through song.   Growing up with a musical family in the mountains of Western NC was where Kellin Watson's dreams of performing and making music were born. Finding herself inspired by Soul, R&B and Pop growing up, Kellin has brought a fresh new slant to her bluegrass and Celtic musical roots creating a sound all her own. With the release of her new album, No Static, Watson has formed an all new band fusing the soul and gospel of the organs and keys, with the roots country sound of the pedal steel. Music fans in the southeast were smitten by Kelling Watson in 2003 when her song Paper Bird hit the airwaves. Since then, she's opened for Jessica Simpson, performed across the southeast and beyond, and entertained increasingly adoring audiences in the Asheville area. She's just wrapped up recording of her new cd, and rumor has it that she caught Billy Corgan's eye (and ear) during the Smashing Pumpkins recent residency in Asheville. Kellin's definitely headed for big things.

7:00PM - Firecracker Jazz Band (www.firecrackerjazz.com)

Firecracker Jazz Band's repertoire is born of the rich material of the early twentieth century "Jazz Greats" from the city of New Orleans. Popular and obscure Tin Pan Alley songs appear alongside clever original compositions. The instrumentation of the group is styled in the manner of the King Oliver Jazz Band, with stride piano, tuba and banjo providing the foundation for the melody of the cornet, counter-pointed with the trombone.

SUNDAY, OCT. 14

1:00PM - Tony Tidwell (www.myspace.com/tonytidwell)

In the music biz they call this Roots Rock. It is a hybrid of Country and Rock, first made popular in the 60's by The Band, Dylan's one-time back up musicians. The songs have an honesty about them that makes the listener feel good and whole. Tidwell does a fine job here. His songs are as heartfelt as Neil Young and as cool-wave as Elvis Costello.

2:30PM - Michael Wolf & A Side of Blues (www.asideofblues.com)

Michael Wolf & A Side of Blues is a talented Blues Band made up of veteran musicians. They thrill audiences with exciting original songs and select covers of some of the great in Blues.

3:00PM - Shane Pruitt Band (www.myspace.com/shanepruitt)

An extraordinary bluesman is raised in the suburbs; in the shadow of a Wal-Mart store...  A youngster learns the depth and breadth of the blues without leaving his house. Living in Spartanburg, South Carolina, his style mimics neither the sprightly, acoustic - based Piedmont blues indigenous to his region nor the all- influential Texas sounds of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. A gentle and shy young man becomes a FEROCIOUS and animated axe king the second he hits the stage.

5:00PM - The Lee Boys (www.leeboys.com)

The Lee Boys are one of Americas finest African-American Sacred Steel Artists. The hottest movement on the music scene these days in the Sacred Steel sound that developed its roots in the House of God church. Exhilarating, energetic, exciting, freeing fun, inspiring, spirited, soulful, thrilling - these are only some of the words fans have used in trying to describe how The Lee Boys make them feel. You can hear it all in their music as they come alive on the stage when they perform. It is the music of praised, faith and hope but with a whole lot more funk.

BB&T MAIN STAGE (Broad Street beside Greenville News Building)

FRIDAY, OCT. 12

7:00PM - Whiskey Falls (www.whiskeyfallsmusic.com)

One listen to the title track first single of Whiskey Falls’ forthcoming debut album is more than fair warning. At the same time, it’s only the tip of the iceberg. This. Is. No. Ordinary. Band. Start with the vocals. Four-part harmony -- is there such thing as four-part lead? -- running from the first verse to the final chorus. Then there’s the song itself. Smartly crafted and emotionally mature. Somewhat surprising from a new band that writes all its own material. The musicianship is world class. The arrangement, tighter than Tupperware. The production, well, let’s just say it more than measures up. Is it possible for a 14-month old band to have handled all those duties, too? Check, check and check.

9:00PM - Diamond Rio (www.diamondrio.com)

The group's rich vocal harmonies and glossy picking helped define the "young country" movement of the early 1990s. Diamond Rio began its climb to stardom as the Tennessee River Boys, playing at the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville in the early 1980s. After numerous personnel changes, it solidified into its present membership in 1989 and took the name Diamond Rio. Classical, bluegrass, rock and country -- the diversity of their backgrounds is striking. But the fact that all six are virtuoso players is what makes the whole so much bigger than the sum of its parts.

SATURDAY, OCT. 13

6:00PM - Tishamingo (www.tishamingo.com)

In an industry that sometimes squanders its most valuable resource, Tishamingo is a breath of fresh air. For the last half-decade, Tishamingo has grown tighter as a playing unit and increased its core fan base through constant touring (on both sides of the Atlantic). They have played European festivals, Bonaroo, and Skynard’s “Gimme 3 Days Cruise”.

8:00PM - Kansas (www.kansasband.com)

Few artists sustain a 30-year career in the music business. Kansas is a welcome exception. This American rock institution blazed out of the heartland - it's name-sake's capital of Topeka to be exact - and created a distinctive, one-of-a-kind style by weaving progressive rock and hard rock with often philosophical and spiritual lyrics. The band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums, one platinum live album and a million-selling gold singe, “Dust in the Wind.”. Kansas appeared on the billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the 70’s and 80’s and played to sold-out arenas and stadium throughout North America, Europe and Japan. In fact, “Carry On Wayward Son” was the #2 most played track on classic rock radio in 1995 and went to #1 in 1997. In 2000 Kansas went back into the studio with original band member and songwriter Kerry Livgren to produce “Somewhere to Elsewhere,” the first CD featuring all 6 original player in 20 years! Kansas has held a full touring schedule in 2006 and 2007. This year, Kansas celebrates the 30-year anniversary of Point of Know Return. One of the bands most successful  and well remembered offerings from the 70’s era. “Point” remains popular today and is a classic rock and roll selection for music enthusiasts.
