About Main Street Events - Why Main Street Events?
Who is Main Street Events, Inc? - Main Street Events, Inc. (MSE) is a 501 c (6) non-profit organization that was established in 1983 to organize, promote and professionally manage events that enhance tourism, economic development and community pride. The mission is to be the premier producer of events which enhance quality of life, build a sense of belonging, and invite involvement in the community.
Turnkey Management – MSE manages operations, finance, entertainment, volunteers, sales, etc. with a full-time staff of individuals with a strong work ethic and love for event management. That means will control all aspects of the event – easy communication and easy production!
Proven Management Systems – MSE brings operational systems to the table for all of its events. This includes event logistics, financial operations, entertainment booking, volunteer solicitation and scheduling, sales and marketing, and staffing
Strong Partners – MSE has trusted partners to assist with all aspects of the final operation plan for events. Our partnerships include experts in staging, sound, generators, portable toilet facilities, electrical needs, tents/tables/chairs, security, etc.
Main Street Events can bring proven excitement to your Main Street! Every city or town has a location that is considered a central gathering place for activity and energy. The location may have any kind of address, but this is your “Main” street.
We have a formula that can be customized to your Main Street that will bring pride and quality of life to your community. Festivals and events have become the accepted activity to attract all walks of life into a central location to share in the excitement and energy generated by entertainment, food, fireworks, or any other type of activity within the event site.
Each location has unique needs, and Main Street Events has multiple ways to address those needs.
#1: CONSULTING
In this situation, you may have an idea of what you would like to produce in your community, but just don’t know how to put it all together. MSE can bring many years of professional expertise to the table and assist with an entire plan for your community that will mix with your goals. MSE possesses experience in everything from budgeting, corporate partnership sales, public relations, marketing, logistical needs, onsite operations and oversight, finance operations, entertainment booking, volunteer programs, and much more. We can be available on a per-hour, per-day or per-event basis. If this is what you are looking for, MSE can customize a plan for any event.
#2: EVENT EVALUATION
Let’s say you already produce an event in your community, and there is just something missing. Or, you have been producing the same event for many years, and need a boost in energy. MSE can work with organizers to evaluate the event and offer suggestions and a plan on improvement or a long term plan for success. Remember the old saying that you can’t see the forest for the trees? We all know that it is tough to see our own event from the inside. A view from a new set of eyeballs can be invaluable and may just be the ticket you are looking for! This is the next step in improving your event and the next step that MSE covers in our consulting role.
#3: EVENT MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION
Why waste time and effort in learning the ropes of producing an event with folks who have real jobs and then spend extra time trying to fulfill their responsibilities as a member of a volunteer committee? Just tell us what your goal is and Main Street Events will handle everything else – really! We handle all of the pertinent roles needed to produce an event from scratch – with proven systems and professional contracted supplies. We can produce an event through several financial scenarios. MSE works with each event to devise a financial program that will benefit both parties. Payment to MSE comes from management fees, sponsorship commissions, and/or event net revenue. MSE does not produce events based strictly on earned revenue from sponsorship sales – management and sales are different sources of income. We also are open to discuss partnerships where all partners take equal risk and rewards fro the event.
